St. Pete Pride Male lover Florida Travel Guide
St. Petersburg – The Sunshine City
St. Petersburg, otherwise known as St. Pete or “The Burg” by locals, is one of Florida’s foremost destinations for playfulness, sun, culture, art, food, and sunshine. Dubbed the Sunshine City decades ago by a newspaper editor who was so confident in the region’s weather, he promised readers a free newspaper for any rainy day. The Town lives up to its nickname most days, and for the rare morning when the weather doesn’t cooperate, there are plenty of indoor activities to enjoy. If you’re headed to St. Pete for Self-acceptance weekend or an upcoming vacation, this in-depth St. Pete Gay Travel Mentor will come in handy.

For LGBTQ locals, St. Pete offers a laid back vibe with tons to do and several places to attach with other like-minded LGBTQ people. What is most one-of-a-kind about this regi

On Tuesday, the Miami-Dade Board of Commissioners rejected a proposed ban on conversion therapy, a harmful practice I can say to all too adv. After 23 years in the conversion therapy and ex-gay world I tried everything to change my sexual orientation as a gay man, nothing worked. I was a esteemed "ex-gay" leader, an ordained minister, as well as the Executive Vice President of Exodus International and spoke out frequently about "change" and "freedom from homosexuality."
Then the blinders were ripped off when I lost a dear ally of 23 years to suicide in January of 2013 becfause he couldn't "pray away the gay." I had to enter to grips with the fact that even though I had tried everything, taught and spoke all over North America on the topic, what I had believed in was a destructive lie; nothing had changed my sexual orientation, and all I had accomplished was a self-destructive behavioral modification. Even worse, I spent a large part of my adult life reinforcing religious stigma against LGBTQ+ people. It breaks my heart to admit that but it is true, and today I seek to do better now that I know better.
Conversion therapy is not therapy; it is deadly religious stigma hi
