Hospitality House is a evolving, community-based organization that provides opportunities and resources for personal growth and self-determination to homeless people and neighborhood residents. Their mission is to build collective strength by advocating policies and rendering services which foster self-sufficiency and cultural enrichment.

Specific services include help groups, shelter, professional maturation, case management, and society events.

Jazzie's Place

Jazzie’s Place is a 24-bed shelter targeted to assist lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender homeless adults who are seeking shelter beds. The entire adult emergency shelter system is uncover to all homeless adults, including LGBT guests.

We have a variety of rental options customizable to your needs, and we offer discounted rates on a sliding scale (between 20-40%) for nonprofits of varying sizes.

Mission Statement

The Queer Resource Center seeks to empower and unite LGBTQI+(Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex,+) students at City College of San Francisco by providing specialized resources that gather the needs of our diverse queer community, and by fostering a safe space on campus for LGBTQI+ students and allies to work on their personal and educational goals. In addition, the QRC is a center for gender non-conforming excellence and education, featuring the voices of society leaders, artists, and activists, and providing opportunities for student leadership and growth.

Students can utilize the space for studying, printing, and access to our food shelves. The QRC hosts events focused on  personal enrichment and education, reflecting the lived experiences of the San Francisco Bay Area's LGBTQI+ community. The SF LGBT Center Access Point

LOCATION

At this Access Point we help young adults between 18 and 24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and those 25- 27 years who have used homeless services in SF before; to locate homelessness services, housing assistance, shelter, and resources.

Access points are locations where Service Providers connect you to housing services, shelter, and resources. 

Services offered:

  • Housing eligibility determination and help
  • Youth shelter
  • Move-in help
  • Relocation assistance
  • Help with obtaining a California-issued Identification
  • Help with obtaining a Social Security Card
  • Information about society resources
