Since joining the cast of Coronation Highway in 2020, actor Tony Maudsley has quickly established himself as a fan favourite. The 55 year old first landed on the cobbles of Weatherfield as George Shuttleworth, the son of undertaker Archie Shuttleworth, after he inherited his father's funeral directory.
Over the last three years, Tony's character has been at the centre of many different storylines. From Todd Grimshaw being poached by rival undertakers, RestEasy, to him eventually returning to Shuttleworth's following a big heart to heart with his former boss, George also began a romantic relationship with Todd's mum and veteran personality, Eileen Grimshaw.

Who is Tony Maudsley?
English television and film actor Tony Maudsley, 55, was born January 30, 1968, in Liverpool.
He has been a part of the Coronation Street cast since 2020, playing George Shuttleworth on the show since 2020.
He is perhaps best famous for playing Kenneth DuBeke in the ITV comedy series Benidorm, which ended in 2018.
Tony's career began when he earned a role in the movie A Life for a Life in 1998, in which he played Stefan Kiszko.
He has since starred in numerous TV shows including Doc Martin, Long for Marple and Ordinary Lives.
He has also featured in many films including 1999's Sleepy Hollow, playing Van Ripper.
Tony joined the star-studded Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix cast, as Grawp, Hagrid's giant brother.
In December 2023, he joined the Coronation Street team on the annual festive ITV display The Big Quiz: Coronation Street vs Emmerdale.

They are also trying to find out who an undercover hotel inspector is with hilarious consequences obviously.
