Elizebeth warren responds to question of gay marriage
Elizabeth Warren's response to a question about same-sex marriage has gone viral. At CNN's LGBTQ Town Hall event Thursday night, Warren was asked a doubt about how she would respond to an "old-fashioned" supporter who believes marriage is between one male and one woman.
"I'm going to assume it is a guy who said that," Warren replied, "And I'm going to express, 'Well, then just join one woman. I'm chilly with that.'" The crowed erupted in applause and then Warren added: "Assuming you can find one."
It appears her joking went over well with the audience and viewers watching at home. Videos of Warren's comment was joint tens of thousands of times on social media.
During the town hall, the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates were asked questions solely about lesbian, gay, bisexual person, transgender and queer issues. When asked if there was ever a hour she did not help same-sex marriage, Warren at first said she didn't think so, then reflected on her childhood growing up in a conservative household in Oklahoma.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts had harsh words for those against marriage equality at the CNN LGBTQ Equality Town Hall on Thursday night.
In a clip now going viral, Morgan Cox, the chair of the Human Rights Campaign's board of directors, asked Warren about what she'd speak to someone against homosexual marriage.
"Let's say you're on the campaign trail," Cox said.
"I have been!" Warren replied, to laughs.
"A supporter approaches you and says, 'Senator, I'm old-fashioned, and my faith teaches me that marriage is between one man and one woman.' What is your response?" Cox continued, affecting a southern accent for the hypothetical supporter.
"Well, I'm going to assume it's a guy who said that. And I'm gonna say, 'Then just unite one woman. I'm cold with that,'" Warren replied, to rapt applause. She then paused, and continued, "Assuming you can spot one."
The CNN Town Hall featured back-to-back interviews between nine of the 2020 Democratic candidates for president. Warren started her segment by declaring "We're gonna have some fun tonight!"

Elizabeth Warren, a top contender for the U.S. Democratic presidential nomination, drew cheers online and offline for her quippy response to a scrutinize about same-sex marriage.
Warren was among nine other Democratic nominee hopefuls who took questions on LGBTQ2 issues during a televised CNN forum on Thursday evening.
It was a question from Morgan Cox, the chair of the Human Rights Campaign board of directors, that sparked the reaction.
Cox asked the Massachusetts senator how she would respond if a supporter approached her on the campaign trail and said: “I’m old-fashioned and my faith teaches me that marriage is between one dude and one woman.”
Warren responded: “Well, I’m going to assume it’s a guy who said that. And then I’m going to say, then just join one woman. I’m cold with that.”

The crowd broke into laughter and cheers as Warren shrugged her shoulders. She paused before finishing her thoughts: “Assuming you can find one.”
