Rainbow Camp® includes choice-based programming from all three of our program streams: training and activism, artistic endeavours, and active outdoors alongside traditional camp activities such as group games, cabin challenges, campfires and waterfront programming!
Our goal is to offer a custom exposure which means that participants can design their control ideal Rainbow Camp® program. We will be offering multiple programs so that participants can choose sessions and activities that they feel most passionate about.
We will be offering programming in three major streams: education and activism, creative endeavours, and active outdoors.
Education and Activism includes educational programming, guest speakers and presenters, and social justice. Programs have included: Transitioned 101, Seven Grandfather Teachings, Intersectionality 101, ABCs of 2SLGBTQ+, Queer Music, Signal Language, Metis Culture, Sex Ed, Coming Out: Tips/Tricks + Safety Plans, Insect Identification, Faith Formation and Spirituality, Privilege Walks, Agender Discussion Group, Queer History, and more!
Artistic Endeavours incorporate arts and crafts, harmony, dance, drama, and writing. Programs have included: Journal Join us for an incredible weekend fo enjoyable, community, adventure, support, cherish, and pride at our LGBTQ+ Family Camp. This weekend will include camp activities like climbing, archery, the giant swing, and arts & crafts. Saddle up for a mark ride, roast a marshmallow over a fire, and make new friends! Your family will enjoy one of our traditional cabins finalize with bunk beds, electricity, and a private bathroom. Meals will be served in our dining hall and activities will be led by our program staff and volunteers. Register Now Other Family Camp Weekends Join us for an incredible weekend of fun, education, support, devotion, and pride at our first LGBTQ+ Youth Weekend. This weekend will encompass traditional camp activities, including climbing, archery, the gigantic swing, & arts and crafts. Additionally, we’ll be hostin Here is a amazing opportunity we are offering to our amazing LGBT+ group partners about our upcoming National LGBT+ Youth Summer Tech Camps. Maven Youth is a national nonprofit which provides LGBT+ Youth to network, set up and educate for social change through technology. We foster a rare protected space for LGBT+ Youth (14-24) to explore careers in tech while study to code with other LGBT+ Youth across the country. If you ever looked into sending a young person to a summer coding camp, you will note these camps average a charge of $1000 and up to attend. We do this FREE and our camps are led by LGBT+ Youth. Below are the three summer camps youth can choose from: Located on the Hood Canal, Camp Robbinswold spans 570 acres, including a mile of saltwater beachfront, six miles of trails, and a freshwater lake. Campers can participate in swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, essence programs, arts and crafts, campfires, cookouts, hiking, and sleeping under the stars. Plus, campers in fourth grade and above go on an overnight on our upper property or sites along the Hood Canal. Campers stay in open-air cabins with up to five other campers. Camp St. Albans covers over 300 wooded acres with more than five miles of trails, all surrounding beautiful Lake Devereaux. In addition to archery, boating, campfires, and arts and crafts, campers at St. Albans can work as a team to paddle unique, multi-seat Viking boats; explore the interactive music wall and arboretum of native plants; and delight in the whimsical gnome villages around camp.
