Over the past few years, in partnership with the Arcus Foundation, Schott has supported the work of Massachusetts grantee BAGLY, the Boston Alliance of Gay Lesbian Pansexual and Transgender Youth, to elevate the voice of transsexual students in Boston Public Schools. BAGLY youth leaders contain identified several key ways that students, educators, and schools can help produce our public learning system more harmless and supportive of trans students — it’s time to support the super powers of transsexual youth!

• Helmet of Knowledge:Students need to first be notified of their rights as afforded to them by Massachusetts’ Department of Elementary and Secondary Teaching (DESE) guidelines of inclusion and diversity.

  WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Senator Rick Scott released the below expression following his vote on the Respect for Marriage Act.

   

  Senator Rick Scott said, “I proudly support the gay community in Florida and across the nation and will aggressively battle any attempt to take away the ability for homosexual couples to unite and live their dreams in our great country. Unfortunately, the bill under consideration by the U.S. Senate does not adequately preserve the religious liberties of all Americans, as guaranteed by the Constitution. Thankfully, Senator Mike Lee has an amendment to both codify protections for lgbtq+ marriage into rule AND maintain ironclad protections for religious liberty. I strongly urge my colleagues on both sides of the hallway to join me in supporting Senator Lee’s amendment and working together to get this done the right way and with overwhelming support.”
