      i think a lot of people make that correlation because oracular spectacular (while not the intention of andrew and ben, especially since it was trying to parody pop music) has that defining pop/indie sound of the 2000s that whenever ppl hear mgmt, even if they didn't hear them when they first started out, they associate that 2000s vibe with that. it's not helped too that some people only know them by those three singles (time to pretend, kids, and electricl feel) and forget they made music since

I just wanted to share with you all a project I’ve been working on for the past couple days. I consideration it was a shame that one (most, actually) of my favorite MGMT songs didn’t possess an MV, so I decided to start up an account where I could post some fan-made ones I’ve created with iMovie (all compiled from MGMT-related video clips)!
So far, this is what I’ve got done. An unofficial music video for my all-time MGMT favorite - Of Moons, Birds and Monsters. I hope you enjoy! :D

What I LikeThis is one of my favorite bands to dance/cry to. They've almost always made upbeat harmony with deep lyrics. It would be a dream appear true if I ever saw them live. Andrew also confuses my sexuality.

MGMT is an American rock band formed in 2002 in Middletown, Connecticut. It currently consists of Andrew VanWyngarden (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, percussion) and Ben Goldwasser (vocals, keyboards, guitar, percussion). In the reside lineup it consists of VanWyngarden, Goldwasser, Will Berman (drums, percussion, harmonica, backing vocals), Simon O'Connor (bass guitar, backing vocals), and James Richardson (lead guitar, keyboards, backing vocals).
